"A Scandal in Bohemia" was the first of Arthur Conan Doyle's 56 Sherlock Holmes short stories to be published in The Strand Magazine. Holmes did not think much of the "fair sex" until the met a character in this story, Irene Adler, who became to him "the woman".

This rousing production of "A Scandal in Bohemia" puts listeners right in that famed house on Baker Street as Dr. Watson and Sherlock Holmes set out to solve another mystery. This fan-favorite tale has Holmes and Watson in search of a compromising photograph, and serves to introduce listeners to the one women who's cunning and clever enough to occupy Holmes's mind: Irene Adler. Like all classic Sherlock Holmes stories, "A Scandal in Bohemia" is filled with misdirection and clever plotting, and fans and novices alike will enjoy listening to the tale that first features Miss Alder, who Holmes merely refers to as the woman.
