Lisa was born and raised in the Sandhills of western Nebraska.
A lifelong horse enthusiast, she worked as a riding instructor in Southern California, and an equine specialist for Equine-Assisted Psychotherapy.
Hare’s love for the equine, and her experience with them both personally and professionally, provide much of the horsepower behind her writing, offering readers a unique ride through the landscape of love, loss and redemption.
