A proposito di questo titolo
In hiding all her life, Layala prepares for the day the wicked High Elf King Thane will come to steal her—his powerful mate. She trains to take her revenge for the wrongful execution of her parents, who died for her freedom.
Now that day has come, forcing her to come face-to-face with what she’s hidden from: a dangerous, dark-haired, warrior king determined to marry her.
After she’s shoved into a black carriage pulled by six ominous steeds, Layala makes plans to take her captors’ lives and free herself...
...but Thane has a secret that makes it impossible for Layala to slay him. She has an even darker truth that makes loving her forbidden, no matter how much Thane wants to touch.
Dare to dive into this whimsical and deeply romantic story inspired by Hades & Persephone, The Lord of the Rings, and a sprinkle of Norse mythology. A tale that will grip you from the first moment and stay with you long after the last. Start listening now!
Author’s note: This is book 1 in a series and ends on a cliff. This is an adult slow burn romance with plenty of banter, tension, and a touch of steam. Contains violence and mature themes.

©2022 House Valor Books Inc. (P)2022 House Valor Books Inc.It literally has majority of the most common elements, so I do consider it to be a good option for those that are curious about the genre or young readers (between 15-19 years for example).
It only contains 1 spicy scene which is described in a very modest way.
instead, for the readers that are already familiar with the tropes and the genre (acotar / fourth wing), this is a story that doesn't offer much to hold on to.
I wasn't captured by the world building (although there are many information about it) nor by the characters (who are lacking, from my prospective, charisma).
We have 2 readers, one for the male characters and one for the females, who have worked hard to create different voices, tones, accents to personalise each one present in the book (overall about 20). I have particularly appreciated the gnome and the Scottish king's guard.
