    Sit with us as we chat with Dr. Oscar Illanes, anatomic veterinary pathologist, Professor and Department Head of Veterinary Biomedical Sciences at Long Island University College of Veterinary Medicine (LIUCVM) in Brookville, NY. We hear about Dr. Illanes’ travel-filled career, his experiences with diversity, equity, and inclusion, and his best pathology gift to a fellow pathologist. We also learn about LIUCVM's innovative approach to partnering with clinical affiliates to provide hands-on experience to their veterinary students.

Dr. Henderson is the current Chair of the ACVP Media Communications Committee (MCC), the parent committee to this podcast. In this episode, we discuss the MCC, volunteering with the ACVP, Dr. Henderson's amazing journey in veterinary medicine and pathology, and how we should all be more like flamboyant cuttlefish.
