  • The Next Best Thing
    May 29 2024

In the third iteration of this series, I discuss how our mind creates illusory images of "the next best thing." Many times we find ourselves chasing things that we feel would complete, validate, and fulfill us. We innocently tell ourselves that our goals are going to satisfy us and fill an imaginary void.

When we have a fundamental understanding of our human experience, we see through this illusion. We get off the hamster wheel of discontentment, we are free to be present in our lives with ease, grace, and acceptance for all the parts of ourselves. What would it feel like to create things in your life from a place of being already whole?

  • Your Mind Worries
    Mar 19 2024
In this episode.I discuss how our brains have evolved over the last 200,000 years and how we have conflated what we call "worry" to be a present and imminent threat. Our brains are constantly on guard, throwing out 'solutions' to 'problems' it perceives, flooding us with all sorts of feelings. We innocently take what we think and feel at face value. What would happen if we we're curious about that energy we call worry? To sit and be a witness to the experience? Not to identify with the stories, the feelings, the thoughts, but to simply acknowledge its' presence. Through this, we begin to feel a sense of wholeness, aliveness, and acceptance for every part of yourself.
