  • Why Bytes? Originally, a byte was any string of more than one bit that made up a simple piece of information.

My goal is to provide a bit of information that supports, helps and inspires baby boomers to live their best life via my Boomer Bytes Podcast.

We “Baby Boomers” were born between 1946 and 1964. We are known for our core values of optimism, team orientation, personal gratification, health and wellness, personal growth, youth (I have a mouthful to say about the pressure of looking 4-Ever young) work, contribution, involvement and love of family.

We baby boomers are retiring, downsizing, reorganizing and prioritizing how we live our lives.

Many like me, have lost a parent, some both, have lost a long time spouse, (like I did), have remarried (I have), or not, are grandparents, some are now taking care of their own parents.

If you’re a sibling, child, grandchild or family member of a baby boomer and have intrigue and curiosity about the baby boomers, the second largest segment of the population, please join the conversation.

I’ll be sharing bytes of life with intriguing guests and a variety of topics including aging with grace, relationships, estate planning, home and lifestyle, healthy living and of course travel, now that we have time to discover and explore amazing places.

Are you a baby boomer? Are you living your best life with ease or struggling a bit with burdens that feel overwhelming?

I don’t have the answers, but I believe it’s worth having a conversation

the following is from — Before the Coffee Gets Cold, by Toshikazu Kawaguch

    Don't leave anything for later.

    Later, the coffee gets cold.

    Later, you lose interest.

Later, the day turns into night.

    Later, people grow up.

    Later, people grow old.

    Later, life goes by.

Later, you regret not doing something...

    When you had the chance.

Life is a fleeting dance, a delicate balance of moments that unfold before us, never to return in quite the same way again.

Regret is a bitter pill to swallow, a weight that bears down upon the soul with the burden of missed chances and unspoken words.

So, let us not leave anything for later. Let us seize the moments as they come, with hearts open and arms outstretched to embrace the possibilities that lie before us. For in the end, it is not the things we did that we regret, but the things we left undone, the words left unspoken, the dreams left unfulfilled.

Cheers! Here's to you living your best life!

  • Freedom To Live Your Best Life is on the Line - Episode 6
    Oct 20 2024

Episode six is freedom to live your best life is on the line. I don't often talk about politics. I don't share my thoughts on social networks, I keep it to myself. But I just feel so moved to share my opinions because there's a lot on the line with this next election.

I have deep concerns that the liberal left is moving towards socialism, some say communism. They want more control, severe regulations, unreasonable mandates, and they're trying to censor free speech, our thoughts and ideas. And when they start messing with that, it’s very scary. You really don't want to lose your freedom of speech or your capability of expressing yourself. That's the beauty of this country and it should not be taken for granted.

Another tragedy, journalists no longer report factual information. They spew a narrative mandated by mega media corporations. They have demonized Donald Trump to be like the anti-Christ. They want people to believe that he's a bad man, that he wants to be a dictator. None of this is true.

The mega media want you to despise him. They want you to believe he's a criminal and an existential threat to society. And they're working hard at this. When voters watch CNN, CBS, MSNBC, all left biased channels, their commentary becomes the facts of life and no one is changing the channel.

And this is just a little bit scary to me because they're not seeing another narrative. To see if there's another side to the story, because we all know there's two sides to every story. So the bogus lawfare that turned bookkeeping misdemeanors into a targeted federal crime and all the false accusations have not worked to prevent Trump from the presidency.

I can't help but wonder who is behind the assassination attempts. There's also two BS impeachments and the J6 incidents, which many, like me believe was orchestrated by corrupt politicians on both sides.

They are doing everything in their power to ruin Trump. They want to annihilate him and they're going to great extremes to do that. They do not want Donald Trump to open Pandora's box, because you know what? I believe there are very ugly secrets that nobody wants divulged

I can only hope that my fellow Baby Boomers and GenXers will evaluate the state of our country. Ask yourself why hasn’t the Border Czar shut down the border? Why are millions of illegal immigrants invading our country and getting funds from our government to be here? Why are we sending billions of dollars to the Ukraine, when USA citizens are suffering? Why is inflation so high? Why are groceries and gas so high? And l my final question; What will happen in the net four years if democrats remain at the helm?
