  • 91 Year-Old retired Physical Therapist and Social Activist William L. Woods joins host and grandson RJ Tolson as they discuss the differences in modern technology almost a century ago compared to today, what it was like to deal with Jim Crow and adversity, and more. Growing up in the 1930's and 40's, William raised 5 children with his wife and fellow social activist Eloise S. Woods. After moving up from Pennsylvania, William became one of the first black director's of Physical Therapy in New England in the era of Jim Crow. A few years later he opened up his own practice, eventually expanding to three locations to treat patients for over 40 years.
