Five days before the attempted assassination of President Trump, I sat down with Kenneth Valentine, three-time presidential secret service agent and author of "Cheating Death". Ken and I quite forbiddingly discussed when 'Murphy comes and visits the operation". We discussed the importance of standards and the importance of having a mindset of "direction over perfection". Ken and I discussed faith, and the journey of having a relationship with God. We discussed "wound care" and leadership and how we navigate this thing called life. Since the assassination attempt Ken has been sought after to provide insight and commentary of the incident, all of which he has done quite admirably.
