Lloyd Chapman is Founder and President of the American Small Business League (ASBL.com), trying to get the federal government to obey the law and steer federal contracts to America’s 33 million small businesses. Lloyd has been suing the government for over 35 years and has won a record 110 legal battles.

We discuss the problem: “There are 33 million small businesses in America. They are responsible for over 50% of the private sector workforce, over 50% of the GDP, most U.S. exports and over 95% of all net new jobs in America. These are the firms where most Americans work. Small business is essential to growing the middle class. … The largest economic stimulus program passed by Congress to boost the middle-class economy and create jobs is the Small Business Act. That law mandates that a minimum of 23% of all federal contracts be awarded to small businesses. Today, that is not the case.” Since the 1950s, only 3% on average actually goes to America’s small businesses.
