BIO:
Jolene has over 15 years of experience in pole & aerial with more than a decade of experience as a professional performer, instructor, competitor and production manager. Prior to pole & aerial, Jolene was a competitive gymnast, dancer and cheerleader and a performer with local theaters. After leaving southern California with gold medals in both pole and lyra, Jolene moved to Nashville working with a variety of companies including the NHL, CMT Awards, Fringe Festival, Daybreaker and Live Dancing Girls and traveling for production with both Pole Expo and Pole Sport Organization while also performing with companies like Salto Entertainment.

BIO:
HannahBelle is a midwestern belle hailing from Yorkville, Illinois. She has been dancing her whole life but started her pole journey in 2017. Known for her over-the-stop stage presence and dynamite character work HannahBelle says her pole superpower is being a storyteller. HannahBelle has competed and placed in multiple PSO competitions and was honored to be named the Pole Theatre 2024 Amateur Comedy winner. Known to some as the “pole dancing pinup”, when she isn't in the studio or behind the chair working as a hairstylist you can catch her at your local car shows competing in pinup contests.

Dylan's Bio:
I’m 37
Born in Iowa.
Use to be a big church person.
Joined the infantry.
Left the army and came to Maine.
Trying to start a new career in fitness.
Now I do this.

How Did You Get Into Pole Dancing?
I was trying to start a career in yoga and it wasn’t working out so I decided to try this instead.

• What is your favorite pole dance style?
I need to practice being on the floor more.

• Tell us about your pole performance & competition experience!
I have none.

• What is your favorite pole trick/least favorite pole trick?
ATF that I can do. A Pegasus. Future atf. Full expression Icarus

Least favorite.
Jade slpits. At best I have a jade Y
I hate the Miracle. One of the people I practice with loves it.

• What type of pole hand/body grip do you use?
Pixie potion.

• Are you a pole coach?
No

• Tell us about your pole studio.
Studio x is an amazing place. It makes me stop crying for an hour.

• Any pole dance philosophies to share?
Everyone wants to date a pole dancer until they are.
My coach said that.

• What are some things coming soon for you?
A girl friend. A new job.

• What do you do in your free time, or for your "muggle job"
Pole dance. Clean my house. Work at a pizza shop
Sometimes I go to the bar.

• Any self care, community care, or nutrition tips to share?
Drink lots of water. Take your vitamins. Try to do two small workouts a day. Read. Journal. Take photos. Go for walks. Get a massage. Be around people you love.
Right now journaling is my big thing.
Loving myself.
Try treat yourself like you are the person you are trying to date.

In this episode, Cris Rivers & Mændy Mac interview Pole Coach & Champion, Corey Elyse about her journey from pole dancing, to coaching, and to becoming a pole competition champion.

Corey Elyse has performed, taught, and competed extensively since joining the pole community in 2014. She holds such titles as 2023 PSO Artistic Professional National Champion, 2024 Pole Theatre USA Pro Comedy Champion, 2024 Pole Theatre USA Pro Drama Champion, and more. She is known for her ability to tell a story and incorporate props in unique and surprising ways in her pieces, especially in her pole-work with her props. She loves flexibility based shapes and grip-defying moves. When she is not pole dancing, Corey Elyse trains contortion. Those skills can be seen incorporated into her floorwork and in her approach to training flexibility in a sustainable way that caters to the individuals’ body.

BIO:
Aerial (she/they) is a central Pennsylvania based pole dancer, instructor, and performer. She has been dancing since 2015 and currently teaches at Spinning Harts Pole & Dance Studio, competes with PSO, and strips in her local club. In her own work she focuses on thoroughly combining artistic and technical elements to create well rounded acts in a variety of styles. As an instructor she prioritizes kinesthetic awareness, theoretical understanding of skills, safe progression, and injury prevention through education and effective spotting. When not working, her main hobbies are hanging out with her pet rats and trying her best at adult gymnastics, which dominate her social media.

BIO:
Debbie grew up as a competitive gymnast and found pole in 2012 while looking for something new; she was instantly hooked. To expand her knowledge and commitment to her students, Debbie became certified as a personal trainer through the National Academy of Sports Medicine 2014. She continued her education to better serve her clients and has also received her Spin City Pole Instructor, Sports Nutrition, Sports Performance Specialist, and Weight Management Specialist Certifications.

Debbie started U.S. Pole Champions in 2023 to bring submissions based conpetitions back to the U.S. with the goal being to provide an elevated stage experience with leading industry professionals as judges and substantial prizes for the winners.

What is U.S. Pole Champions?
U.S. Pole Champions is a pole dance competition open to all persons ages 18+. There are two divisions, Amateur and Professional. This competition focuses on execution of skills and showmanship. All styles of pole are welcome. Whatever your style is, bring it to your highest level! Ten finalists per division will be chosen by our video judging panel. Applicants will be judged for the division they submit for. The judges may make a division recommendation if an applicant is clearly a better fit for a different division. At USPC, we believe competitors deserve experienced and knowledgeable judges. All USPC video submissions and live performances will be judged by pole industry leaders. Judges are financially compensated for their time. All applicants will receive a scorecard and written feedback from the video judging panel. Finalists will be notified two weeks after application submissions close. First through third placements in each division, will be awarded at the live competition as well as superlative awards for Best Costume, and Audience Choice.
