  • BERTOLT AND BEE (or... The Splendiferous, Whimsitastic, Adventures of Two Incquisilcious Aliens) is an audio series for kids and parents about two offbeat, fun-loving Aliens, one humanoid and one avian, who are recounting their “childhood” years on Earth as they travel on a spaceship back to their home planet with their adopted-Earthling parents. Just your regular, unconventional family stuck on a very, very...very long road trip. We follow along as they describe and reenact how Bertolt and Bee discovered life on Earth, experienced exciting new adventures, and were forced out of their comfort zones, all while learning how to be “good humans.”

    And while our listeners are laughing and engaged in the stories of our oddball characters, they’ll also be learning, thanks to research-driven content, curated by our parenting expert, meant to support our listeners' developing brains.

    With Bertolt and Bee, we strive to stimulate creativity, build vocabulary, educate, increase attention, and begin the steps toward literacy. Our other goals include strengthening parent-child relationships, improving listening-skills, and broadening cultural understanding.

    Meet Bertolt and Bee! Traveling on their spaceship with their newly adopted Earthling-parents, Bertolt and Bee are now recounting, reenacting, and recording all of their adventures for the folks back home on their Alien planet, in their own fun and silly way.

    The first adventure is, of course, How They Discovered Earth!

    The main theme of this adventure is all about perspective, and how everyone has their own way of understanding and experiencing things. For instance, Bertolt and Bee may seem like Aliens to us, but we also seem like Aliens to them! So it’s important that we try to understand things from everyone's perspective.

    In Part One, Bertolt and Bee also learn lessons on hard work and how teasing isn't always fun, especially for the one getting teased.

    Welcome back to Bertolt and Bee's splendiferous and whimsitastic adventures!

    In Part Two, they continue to tell us all about How They Discovered Earth!

    In this part, Bertolt and Bee will learn how to be good listeners. A conversation is like a game of catch, like passing a ball back and forth, you also pass your words back and forth. Meaning, we let others finish their thought before we give ours.

    Meanwhile, our Announcer teaches us a lesson on trying things! It's the only way to learn and gain knowledge. The more you try, the more you'll know.

    Welcome back! Let's continue the adventure!

    In this Part, it is Bertolt and Bee's sense of smell that leads them to the "Blue Planet" that we call Earth.

    We also get to hear more from their Earthling parents, Randy and Pam, who tell us about how they discovered... ALIENS!

    Part 3 is all about perspective, and how no two people (or other beings) see things the exact same way. We all have our own way of seeing things. What makes one person excited, may make another terrified. We learn so much about friends, family, or extraterrestrial life just by understanding their perspective.
